Ron Carpenter is the current Junior Vice Commander of VFW Post 12101 in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Life Member of the VFW, he is eligible through his service in the Republic of Korea and served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969.

After his military service, Ron worked for more than 40 years in private industry in transportation and distribution. He retired in 2016 as a Western Regional Distribution Manager.

Ron also volunteers at the Veterans Administration Southwest Clinic and previously served as a youth mentor for the Orange County, California, Children’s Home.
