Thomas "Tom” Nieva is the Senior Vice Commander of VFW Post 12101 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tom has been an
active Life Member since he first joined Post 12101. He earned his VFW
eligibility serving in South Korea and retired as a Master Sergeant from the US
Air Force with over 20 years of service.
For over 22 years Tom
worked for the Nevada System of Higher Education/System Computing Services
before retiring as Director of Network Services/NevadaNet. In retirement he supports
various organizations for disabled children and children in need of medical
care, and volunteers at a local Vet Center in the Las Vegas Valley.
Tom is a Gold-level
Legacy Life Member of the VFW and was elected Post Senior Vice Commander for 2024-2025,
where he hopes to continue serving the community and helping other veterans. He
also has life membership in the Disabled American Vets (DAV).
