Jerry Peterson
Adjutant/Quartermaster - Air Force

Gerald "Jerry” Peterson is the Adjutant and Quartermaster of VFW Post 12101 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jerry joined the VFW in 1994 as a Life Member of Post 11281 in Naples, Italy, and has been an active member ever since.  He earned his VFW eligibility serving in Vietnam and Operation DESERT STORM.  He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 33 years of service, which included being a C-141 Instructor Flight Engineer with over 5000 flight hours.

Jerry has held every VFW Department-level elected and appointed position. In 2011, he was recognized as Nevada’s Outstanding Veteran of the Year. He is an "All-American” Triple Crown, having been a Post, District and Department Commander.

 In 2018, Jerry was the Department of Nevada Past State Commander and a National Council of Administration member 2020-2024. He is a Gold Legacy Life Member, Life Member of the Military Order of the Cootie, and Life Member of the National Home for Children.
